love letters; hope i dont....

Embarrass you my love.

This just shows you what an amazing husband I have. You are my world, Chris. & can pick me up just when I need it.

Christopher Adcock August 6 at 9:21am
Boo;
You are one rockin' partner. As Leslie said, "how considerate of you". It took me till 1:15am to get the Genius Room ready for this weekend; and you were amazing enough, as tired-uncomfortable-and pregnant as you are--to let me get an extra hour of sleep. Thanks so much for that!

Beyond that, you really are the best mommy out there. You find joy in the little things and really are doing amazing things with that little gal of ours--that I know are going to bleed right over into that little man.

I love you, I admire you, and I look forward to many, many more instances of "life in this family". For good or ill, you are, always have been, and always will be my best friend...my amazing lover...and a one-of-a-kind wife.

All my love my darling -- see you around 10 (sigh)

Cheesy yes; but here goes:

If I Knew

If I knew how to write a song
I’d write one everyday
It would say that I’m in love with you
And why I feel this way

It would have to say you’re pretty
And as rare as a desert rose
It would say you’re a looker
From your head down to your toes

You are funny, dainty, fragile
And as feminine as can be
You’re smart charming lovely
And everything to me

You’re my comfort when I’m lonely
You’re my peace when I need rest
Of all the women I’ve known
I must rate you the best.

You’re the orchard in the jungle,
you’re the better half of me
You’re all of this and so much more,
you mean the world to me

Still so much is left unsaid,
It would take me far to long
I know how much I love you,
If only I could write a song.

21 weeks...

Ohhh I miss the days of my cute toned arms. & what is the spot called between the boob & the pit? I hate that spot. Lets shoot for the next 2-3 years on getting toned back up. In the meantime, it sure is beautiful having a little person stretch you out :)
Thanks for my new cute hair, Ashely Adcock! :)

Happy 1/2 birthday baby girl...

2 1/2?!?!
Oh sweet Ave O Liv, I cannot believe you are 2 1/2. Happy 1/2 birthday sweet pea! You have grown into such a beautiful little lady and I love waking up to you everyday. Some things mommy and daddy ADORE about you...

1) We love how kind, sweet, and concerned for others you are. "Mommy, eat your dinner; Want some?; It's okay." Your school friend's parents thank me all the time for how comforting you are to your friends.
-It is great to care for others.

2) We love how you make up songs with your own words. "La La Avery." "Whats that?" "The Avery song."
-It is great to be creative.

3) We love how you have such a memory. You remember people who give you special attention, play with you, get you 'prizes.' "Awh, YaYa this." ("Awh, (insert name) this."-to anything someone gives you. "Lila, show fun."
-It is great to always be appreciative. Not just for 'things,' but for time spent with others.

4) We love how you fall asleep with books in your bed and wake up and read until your ready to wake up.
-It is great to have a passion for learning.

5) We love how you want to do EVERYTHING. "Avery do it; Avery did it."
-It is great to be determined. You may fail, but always keep trying.

6) We love that when you pray, you add in simple things like "cake, spaghetti, school."
-It is great to thank God for the little things us adults forget about.

7) We love that you ask questions. "Whats that? Whats that noise? Who is that?"
-It is great to be curious.

8) We love that you will run any path, jump in any pool, and climb on & hop off anything we'd let you.
- It is great to be active. Activity sparks more creativity.

9) We love that you let us occasionally change up your routine, environment and adjust so well.
-It is great to be spontaneous. It shows comfort & confidence.

10) We love that you love everything. You do. You just love life and enjoy it to the fullest. You take in every moment from big to small. You are positive and remind us that today was a "beautiful day."
-It is great to love. It's what makes our world go 'round baby girl.

I am sure there are a million more things we just love about you. They happen every day and I run around and tell everyone, send texts, or post it on facebook. :) I can't believe how much you are growing Avery; we are so proud of you.

Cute gifts :)

First off, I know my blog is messed up again. Everything is showing up on the bottom and not the right-hand side. This drives me nuts because I have to scroll the whole way down to blog stalk. Egh, what a lazy butt I am.

I wanted to share the cutest gift idea. (super cheap too-about 70 cents a gift) :)
No-sew flowers...

Belly+ Supplies:

-Fabric Strips: 2 inches width X 14.5 inches length
-fold over a few times, then cut tops (see below)
-wooden sticks (can be found in the wood section at the fabric store; 1.00 for a bag of 20!
-hot glue
-newspaper for wrapping (optional). If you want to go even fancier, you can get a vase or just tie with ribbon too

They do look adorable in this little vase...
All divided up for Avery's teachers. It was teacher appreciation lunch and we had to supply a dish. I thought these were perfect to give to the teachers at their lunch. To keep it even cheaper, I used the scrap fabric to tie instead of ribbon. I think it compliments the flowers well.

Where'd this come from?

Um yeah, got the pregnant belly goin' on now! It has been fun feeling little man move around in there. He moves most when Avery ISN'T around (ha) & when daddy is home. It is really sweet that he knows when I need some quality time & recognizes his daddy's voice. Oh and speaking of "him," he finally has a NAME! Drumroll...
Anderson Mark Adcock

Chris and I had a hard time agreeing on a first name, but we both really wanted another 'A' name. So there you have it :) Mark is my dad's name so Anderson's middle name is very special to us. If there is any male (other than my husband) that I would like Anderson to take after, it would be my daddy. He is such a hard-working, selfless, loving man. <3>

Oh Boy!

Well the Huffman impossible has become possible! Looks like Chris & I broke the "girl cycle" and are adding a little boy to the family. We are thrilled & Avery is coming around. She joined us for the ultrasound appointment. "Looks like a baby brother."-Dr "Nah, a baby sister."-Avery
She continues to be a tad confused.
Ultrasound pics on the fridge. Avery points. "Look mom, Dr. Bullen!" hmm.
My friend, Kirstian recommended a beautiful song called "Family Tree" by Frances England
We now call it the "baby brother song." The whole cd is quite amazing, but this song in particular excites me about our family's future and Avery's relationship with her little brother.

Hey Ho, our family of three

Is growing beyond my mommy, daddy, and me

Hey Ho, just how will it be

When we add another branch to our family tree

I’ll be the protector, so strong and wise

I’ll be the cheerleader always by his side

This cute, little baby will soon enough see

No one could love him any more or better than me

I’ll teach him all the things I’ve learned along the way

I’ll help him blow out the candles on his first birthday

We’ll grow up together, side by side

Take care of one another - full of love, full of pride
